Playing with Numbers
Playing with numbers explores interesting properties like factors, multiples, prime numbers, and patterns, making maths engaging and fun.
Core concept
A prime number has only two factors - 1 and itself - like 2, 3, 5, and 7, while a composite number has more than two factors.
How it works
Factors of a number divide into it exactly, while multiples are the results of multiplying that number by whole numbers.
Why it matters
Number patterns, like even numbers (2,4,6,8) or odd numbers (1,3,5,7), help us see relationships between numbers.
Key detail
Exploring these number properties builds a strong foundation for more advanced topics like HCF, LCM, and algebra.
